Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss US Senator Bernie Sanders’s recent statement that Israel needs to change its military approach in Gaza or America will reject giving her any more military aid. Sanders's comment received fierce opposition by Republican and Democratic Congressmen who support the Jewish State. The panel shares part of a Thanksgiving proclamation delivered powerfully to a divided America by Abraham Lincoln in 1863. Lincoln called Americans to reflect on gratitude, despite the deadly Civil War that left some 50,000 Americans slaughtered in the heat of the war. Reading Matthew 11:28, the panel discusses putting on the yoke of Christ, and how that alone can lift our heavy burdens when we learn to lay down all our yokes of bondage and rely on Christ’s finished work alone.
