Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Frances and panel address the many questions that have come into the ministry with regards to the Gap doctrine. Brother Mike Muzzerall takes us to Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 and gives us the Hebrew text. This breaks down the true text, in just what may have happened between those two verses. In scripture, Isaiah 45:18, it says God created the world to be inhabited; and in Genesis 1:2 obviously it isn’t that way, because it is void, implying something had to have happened. The original, created world Genesis 1:1 is a place that is said to be inhabited; but it became void in Genesis 1:2. Brother Muzzerall reiterates that “void" used in Hebrew always refers to the judgment of God, thus the fall of Lucifer. Jeremiah 4:23-26 also confirms, there was a destruction of a pre-existant earth. The panel offers many more verses for study in understanding the Gap doctrine in Isaiah 14:12 and Ezekial 28:12-16.
