We identify with Jesus Christ. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel read Colossians 3:1 discussing all that the believer has In Christ. At salvation we are at peace with God, we have resurrection power when we are risen in new life, and then we are hidden in Christ. He preserves us. Despite our battles, when the dust clears, we will make it as long as we don’t quit. We must constantly seek the things above. Brother Donnie says the believer should not be deceived by the prayer shawl movement; it is a money making scam. As Christians, we are clothed by the blood of Jesus. He is the only covering we need. The root of depression is anxiety, but when we are thankful and praise God anyway, and get our eyes off our problems He will take care of everything. Colossians 3:17 says whatever we do, do it in the name of Jesus, giving thanks to God through Christ and what He did for us on the Cross. The Respect For Marriage bill is being determined by our U.S. Congress; the end vote may result in mandating state’s that don’t have legalized same sex marriage to be forced to recognize the marriages of those couples who go out of state to be married in a state that does have legalized same sex marriage. Girard, a former gay from Minnesota called to say this is a dangerous bill for Christians. He says there must be an amendment added to the bill that would protect Christian businesses and churches if this bill passes.
