Today on Frances and Friends, the panel addresses the doctrine of unconditional eternal security, with the Parable of the Five talents. A viewer asks if this parable is pointing to a capitalistic system? Brother Don Paul Gray, explains this to be more as a reward for faithfulness to God based on one’s God given talent. Brother Dave Smith shares how this also points us to accountability for using our gifts for God’s kingdom.
In Matthew 25:14-30, verse 24, talks of a hard man and his faith was wrong and it led to sin. Verse 26, says you wicked servant, Brother Donnie Swaggart reminds, you knew and you professed, but did not possess. The panel also addresses the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. One caller inquires as to the speaking with other tongues. Evangelist Jason Stidham says study the entire book of Acts and you will see the five accounts of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with three specifically resulting in tongues as the evidence. Another viewer’s question asks, Do video games have a place in a believers life? Sister Frances is afraid the murderous games are hardening our children's hearts to killing. Brother Dave Smith is concerned that the past time has a much greater impact than we know in the hearts and minds of believers.
