Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss the latest news involving Scholastic Books, which is outraging some educators and parents in many Christian communities. These books are in our public schools and are traditionally sold in school book fairs, and are in many school libraries. Some of the books are prefaced with a front-page warning that the book contains adult material. The books with warnings have illustrations as well with topics addressing homosexuality and many other subjects that are not meant for children. The panel discusses the role of the parent and that it is important to know what your child is being taught at school. Brother Donnie says parents should take it a step further to back their children, and teach them to speak up against any such inappropriate teachings that come their way.
