The tongue can be a vile instrument. In Psalm 141:3, David asked the Lord to keep the door of his lips. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss the sin behind the words of a gossiper and how hateful speech can murder a person’s character. In Matthew 12:34, Brother Smith reads, out of the heart the mouth speaks. Brother Brown shares from Proverbs 13:3, that death and life are in the power of the tongue. On the topic of healing, Brother Donnie says all believers can, and should, pray for someone to be healed. He reminds, it is the Lord who does the healing, and the Lord knows the heart of the person needing healing. An emailer asked, why was John the Baptist put in prison? John the Baptist was imprisoned for rebuking King Herod Antipas openly for marrying his sister-in-law. The panel discusses how John called all people to repentance, and in his obedience to God, he lost his life on this earth, but gained heaven.
