Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel read Jeremiah 6:16 discussing the Old Path, where Israel was launching out on a new path away from God, and was facing the invasion of the Babylonians. The prophet Jeremiah was warning that God’s wrath was going to be poured out if the Israelites didn’t turn back to God and the Levitical sacrificial system, which pointed to Christ crucified. Dr. Gray says many believers are facing the same today, and must turn back to Christ and Him crucified, and believe. The panel discusses Yom Kippur under the Old Covenant, and how it pointed to Christ and Him crucified. The Hebraic Roots movement wrongly teaches that man today should be observing all the laws of old. Our faith is not in the laws of old; Christ died and fulfilled all the Mosaic Law. We are complete in our faith in Him. He is our New Covenant, and we have better promises because our faith is in Him and not law keeping.
