Today on Frances and Friends, Pastor Donnie Swaggart and panel discuss fasts ordered by pastors for their church members to follow. Brother Donnie says no pastor has the right to force a fast. Fasts are personal and should be led by the Holy Spirit on an individual. Fasts can give us direction from the Lord, as we take time to draw near to Him; while we are fasting from physical food, He will feed our souls with spiritual food. The panel goes on to read several scriptures explaining how saved humanity becomes the temple of God.
