A believer’s life is to be a testimony to the lost. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss the biblical stance on drinking alcohol and whether it is sin in God’s eyes. In scripture, fermentation always referenced decay, and that means death. Thirty-seven people die everyday in accidents because of alcohol consumption. Faith in Jesus Christ brings life. Those who justify drinking alcohol are being deceived and are not wise. (Proverbs 20:1) Reading 1Peter 2:5, Peter says every single believer is a member of a holy priesthood. God is a righteous God, and alcohol has no place in a believer’s life. The panel goes on to discuss blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and how it is the unpardonable sin. Everything God does on earth is through the Holy Spirit, and God will not be mocked.
