Brother Bates says it is a powerful story, of a shepherd becoming king that must not be read with a carnal mind, and it cannot be read as a narrative. It must be read with a spiritual mind, and God will reveal Christ to the reader. The Holy Spirit knows exactly why every book of the bible has been included.
