Today on Frances and Friends, Pastor Donnie Swaggart and panel discuss salvation and how the Sinner’s Prayer is a wonderful tool that can be used to lead someone who desires to give their heart and life to the Lord. However, beware, while it can help lead us in prayer, just reciting the words of the prayer cannot save a person. Salvation comes when the heart is seeking to repent, and be saved. It’s a heart position that saves, not the reciting of the prayer. The panel agrees that scripture tells us that salvation comes with a prayer from the heart towards God to receive God.
