Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss sin and how it causes a separation between man and God. God wants every believer to search their hearts that any sin be repented of. The Holy Spirit will convict us when there is sin in our lives that should be acknowledged and addressed. Reading Matthew 23:9, the panel discusses why the Bible says we should not lift up an earthly man by calling him “Father”. This refers to no man is like that of our heavenly Father. We must ultimately look to God. However, it is okay, to refer to a man on earth that represents a spiritual father, but we in no way are to talk to, or exalt this earthly man as we would God. The panel discusses revelation given by God, versus intellectualism. All revelation from God, if from a higher power, and must line up with the Word of God.
