We preach Christ crucified. The Bible says those who say the preaching of the Cross is foolishness are perishing. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and the panel discuss 1 Corinthians 1:18, looking at the process of being saved through the power of God. We believe and worship a risen Savior, but there cannot be a Resurrection without a death. The panel explains the urim and the thummin; these were two stones that were placed in pockets on the high priest’s breastplate. These were used when the presence and will of God was being sought for direction. Brother Steele explains how we don’t see these used today because believers have the presence of God, through the Holy Spirit, now living inside us because of Christ’s death on Calvary’s Cross. The panel warns the believer to beware of false teachings, particularly looking into the false religion of free masonry. Sin limits the life of the believer; but God is quick to forgive those who repent. He has great things in store for His children who are obedient to His truth.
