Evil is born from the heart. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and the panel discuss how our physical bodies respond to the desires of the inward man, reading from 1 John 2:16. Brother Donnie shares the teachings of the Apostle John to the Gnostics who were going another way. The believer must avoid the pride of life, which means we think we can do things ourselves by bypassing God’s prescribed order of victory. The way that we come to Christ is how we live for Him. We must trust on His finished work alone and not on self, then the Holy Spirit will lead us and guide us as God wills for our lives. The panel explains the heresy of the Jesus died spiritually doctrine. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice that had no sin, but he died for the sin of all mankind. Righteousness can only be ours when we place our faith in Christ and Him alone.
