Jesus died to populate heaven. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss sin in the life of a believer. God is a forgiving God, and He knows the believer’s heart who truly hates their sin and sincerely repents to God. Brother Smith says repentance is not victory, but victory can be found when we believe in the finished work of Christ. Brother Donnie explains the stock market as an investment that might better business and our country, while the sin of gambling is investing in luck. It is banking on winning on the back of another’s loss, which often leads to addiction. Answering an email about why forty years in the wilderness, the panel says the Israelites were led by God through their wilderness with a cloud by day and a fire by night, showing them the result of their rebellion and teaching a new generation the ways of God. Currently Satan controls the spirit of this world, but the earth belongs to God. All believers are called to live this life according to what is pleasing to the Lord. The Holy Spirit will help us to do just that when we anchor our faith in the finished work of Christ.
