Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and the panel discuss the Book of Philemon, and how the Apostle Paul addresses slavery during the early church. As the gospel began to spread during that time, there was a longing for freedom, and slavery began to fall off. Christians wanted it to end, wanting all people to be one in Christ. Since slavery could not end in the blink of an eye, guidelines were set in this letter for the behavior of Christians during this culture of slavery. Brother Donnie says this is the result of the sin nature of man; and even today, there are some 30-million people around the world still in slavery of one kind or another. Brother John explains the wars and hatred historically against Israel, and sheds light on how every time Israel has tried to give up land for peace, she has come under greater attack. Brother John says, when it comes to Israel, there is to be a one state solution under God’s order; there is no other way.
