Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel welcome Pastor Jimmy Dupree from Faith Memorial Church in Cleveland Tennessee. Reading in 2nd John chapter one, Brother Donnie explains the controversy over John’s the “elect lady" referenced by John in this scripture; Brother Donnie says, though controversial, he believes the “lady” here is referring to the pastor. Women are used greatly by God, whether it is along side a husband, or alone as an evangelist or pastor. We need those with God given gifts no matter the gender to do the work of God. The closer we get to the Lord, the more we will love our brothers and sisters; our love must be based on truth. If we don’t fully understand Jesus Christ and His finished work of Christ, we will never fully understand God’s Word. Reading Galatians 6:1, the panel discusses what to do when a fellow believer falls to sin; scripture tells us to restore those overtaken in a fault with a spirit of meekness.
