They toiled all night, but their nets were empty. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel read Luke 5:2-3. Brother Smith shares the story of Peter’s long night of fishing with no results. At the word of Jesus, they let down their nets one more time; Peter believed, and then he acted on Christ’s word. Jesus wants us to hear Him. Brother Smith encourages us to seek God and trust that He will meet all our needs. He knows our circumstances. The panel discusses how Satan must be given permission from the Lord to bring trials in the lives of His children. Reading 1st Corinthians 10:13, Brother Smith says, God limits what He allows Satan to do in our lives, making a way of escape that we can bear trials. This is how we grow in Christ.
