People of faith in New York City are under attack by the New York Governor. Today on Frances and Friends, Brother Donnie and panel discuss Governor Cuomo’s latest orders to keep churches and synagogues shutdown; but yet, he allows mob action on the streets of his city with no penalty. Brother Donnie reminds more than 700,000 Americans died of the Spanish Flu in 1918 and this did not happen. Pastor John MacArthur, a lead pastor in a large California church, has gone to court seven times in defense of the right to worship and hold services, per Governor Gavin Newsom's orders. Religious liberties, and the right to worship must be defended by all churches and their leaders. Brother Donnie warns, this behavior will eventually affect all churches if the wrong people are voted into office. Brother Donnie offers Acts chapter 20 as a good resource for studying the Sabbath with regards to the early church. At that time, the Sabbath moved from Saturday to Sunday, the first day of the week, in accordance with the Resurrection and Pentecost. Brother Smith reminds, our rest now is in Christ; thus every day of the week is our Sabbath because we are found resting in Him.
