Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor Dr. Dave Watts, Powerhouse Children’s Pastor Jonathan Steele, and Covenant Church Pastor Bob Cornell from Murfreesboro Tennessee sharing his personal experience with church planting. Pastor Bob says to see a church grow and be established, one must truly be called of the Lord to do it. It requires the grace of God, and it requires the help of the Holy Spirit more than anything else. The spiritual warfare that comes with this call is so strong that eventually many just stop, and eventually pastor a church that already exists. Pastor Bob says even if one is called of God, there’s no guarantee that work is going to continue and grow and be established. Remember the words of Jesus, he who endures to the end shall be saved; take that principle as it concerns planting a church, you will need the call of God and spiritual endurance.
