TITHE AND OFFERING- Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor David Watts reading in the Book of Ephesians and Malachi 3:10 discussing the doctrine of giving. Pastor Gabe says many Christians don’t like to hear messages from the pulpit on tithing, and when they do, then they will label the ministry as being prosperity people. Pastor Gabe says that’s a wrong way of looking at it. The scripture is full of God blessing his people. Many times, we cut off our blessing because we don’t participate in the avenue in which God is presenting to receive that blessing. We are encouraged to prove God in our giving. He said, prove me. If I will not open up windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing you have room enough to receive. This is the only place in scripture, and the only time in scripture, where we are told, and encouraged, to prove God. Malachi 3:10, bring you all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in My house, and prove Me now herewith, says the Lord of Hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
