Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor David Watts and Pastor Torrence Nash of Freedom Worship Center in Columbus Mississippi. Reading from Ephesians chapter four verses 17 through 24, the panel warns that there should be a distinct difference between the church and the world. The lines are being blurred into today’s church more so than ever before. The nature of God has always been to, that there should be a distinction between his people and everybody else. Even in the Old Testament, it really wasn’t different. They were to be set apart. God told them certain things that they were to do, certain things they were not to do, certain places they were to go, they were not to go. God said, let there be a difference between clean and unclean, holy and unholy; that carried over into the New Testament. Many will lash out at the believer who speaks up for biblical truths, calling them self-righteous and prideful. We are now children of God. This is a kinship with Christ; therefore, our language is different, our behavior is different, what we eat, what we drink, where we go, it’s all different now. There’s always going to be a distinction.
