BEING AN IMITATOR OF CHRIST- Today on The Generation of the Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor David Watts, reading Ephesians 5:1-4 discussing how the believer is called to imitate Christ. This means we are to order our behavior within the sphere of love. As Christ walked this earth, He demonstrated a love for humanity as no other person has ever demonstrated such love, throughout his time on earth and especially when He died on Calvary’s Cross. We are to follow His model; but that doesn’t mean that we are a doormat. It doesn’t mean that we are to go along to get along, and it doesn’t mean that we have to take abuse, if you will, that is verbally from other people because we love someone. When we love someone, it means that we stand for what is right, and we don’t do it from a perspective of hate.
