SPIRITUAL WARFARE- Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor Dave Watts, and Evangelist David Borg as they read Ephesians 6:10-12 discussing spiritual warfare. As Christians draw close to the Lord, Satan does everything in his power to stop that person from drawing close as to the Lord. Satan’s goal for the child of God is to weaken our faith, and then he tries to destroy it. The Holy Spirit places emphasis on the latter portion of Ephesians to explain to us what we have been given, how we apply it, and how we have to stand for it. The devil is not going to let up, and just when we think there is a little lull, don’t rest on your laurels because another attack is coming. The Lord allows this to happen in the believer’s life so our faith and trust in Him will grow. Our willpower will never be able to stand up to the powers of darkness, only faith in the finished work of Christ can. He alone defeated the powers of darkness. It is the power of His might, and that alone, that has won the battle on our behalf. His victory is our victory.
