Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor Dave Watts reading Ephesians 5:25-33 discussing the role of the husband in a biblical marriage. The role of the husband is not one of a tyrannical dictator, that it's my way or the highway. It is to be a sacrificial leadership of love. The relationship between husband and wife is to mirror the relationship of Christ in the church. Just as Christ loves the church, a biblical, Godly marriage must be anchored in love. This is agape love that cannot be experienced outside of faith in the finished work of Christ. It is here, by faith, that the Holy Spirit will regenerate our hearts and lives to live out our God called roles in a marriage.
