All believers have the power to live a Holy Life. Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by Josh Rosenstern discussing the power of God, reading from Ephesians 1:19. Brother Gabe says unfortunately, many Christians do not have an awareness of the sin nature; meaning that we are born with a nature that has a propensity to sin. There are other Christians who are aware of it, but are in denial about it. Pastor Gabe and Brother Josh discuss how proper faith in Christ can make that sin nature dormant in our lives. They discuss how many Christians error when they look at sin with the idea of well we’ve all got it, so just enjoy it while you’re doing it, God’s grace will cover all sin; wrongfully using Romans 5:20, sin abounds, but grace much more abounds and so we don’t have to ask the Lord to forgive us. Pastor Gabe says this is a damnable thought to think we don’t have to go before the Lord and repent of our sin. No Christian wants to sin willfully, gladly. In fact, everything within our being should want to do that which is right, that which is pleasing to God according to His Word. Every believer can have victory over the sin in their life when they have their faith properly anchored in the Cross of Christ. It’s a guarantee, the Holy Spirit will go to work on our behalf.
