We are a new creation by virtue of being baptized into Christ’s death. Reading in Ephesians 4:24, scripture tells us at salvation we are made dead to the old man’s sin nature, and we are raised with Him in newness of life.
God didn’t save us out of rank heathenism just so we can continue to live a life of rank heathenism. God saves us to change us. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away and behold all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
