Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor David Watts as they continue their study of Ephesians chapter four; addressing the five-fold ministry. The Apostle Paul teaches on the importance of what a believer should be and what we shouldn’t be. Pastor Gabe says this is a common misunderstanding in the church, and is the reason why there is so much turmoil and confusion in the body of Christ simply because many Christians today are not maturing. They are immature Christians, which is what Ephesians 4:14 is dealing with. God gives men and women, specifically called of God, to be raised up for the purpose of ministry to aid in the growth of the body of Christ; to equip, to teach, and to see the spiritual growth of the body of Christ. A common problem we find in the church is that many leading the flock have not been truly called by God but have been self-appointed. This is detrimental to the sheep whose faith can be tossed to and fro by false doctrine.
