The rapture is drawing near; believers are now living in the dispensation of grace where we are receiving God’s undeserving favor. On The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined with JSBC professors, Adam Denoon and David Watts. They are discussing the dispensations of the bible; today, studying the dispensation of Grace in Ephesians 1:9-10. All the previous dispensations reveal the plan of God regarding redemption, and those being fulfilled with the coming of Jesus Christ. In scripture, we read how we now have redemption through His blood and forgiveness of sins; under Old Covenant law, there was a form of forgiveness with the sacrificial system. But now, the New Covenant is available to all, by grace through faith. Professor Watts adds how under the Old Covenant, the people couldn’t keep the law perfectly, but from the law to the Cross, there is a change. Grace demands a substitute, which Christ is on our behalf. The New Covenant is Christ. God will bring National Israel back in Covenant with Him. By God’s grace, we all, Jew and Gentile alike, will be grafted in when we repent and accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on Calvary’s Cross. Brother Adam says it was always God’s plan to offer salvation to all His creation. God’s grace is not a license to sin; as you run toward God, you run away from sin. Romans 6:1-2
