Reading Ephesians 4:28 & 29, they discuss the three words that characterize the sinner; darkened, alienation, and blindness. These vices really characterize what the sinner is and who they are. They lie. They have uncontrolled anger. They steal, and they have filthy language. How many Christians lie, have uncontrolled anger, steal, or have filthy language? These are the vices that we are to put off. The virtues that a believer should put on are truthfulness, controlled anger, hard work, and edifying communication or talk. A believer is to live out their new identity in Christ.
