As a believer, do you feel you are surrounded by idolatry? Today Pastor Gabriel Swaggart and Adam Denoon look into Ephesians 1:1-2, and discuss the Apostle Paul’s reason for writing this letter. Paul was in prison awaiting trial in Rome, after the death of Christ, around 60 A.D. Paul spent three years in Ephesus preaching and teaching the meaning of the New Covenant. Brother Gabe says this writing is not as much of correction, but is more personal. Brother Gabe feels the Book of Ephesians is the Queen of the Epistles, as it is truly the most heavenly revelation of God to mankind. The Gospel, as it is presented in this first chapter, we see referenced multiple times with wording such as: His Will, His Good Pleasure, In Whom, Of Him, In Him, His calling, His Mighty Power, His Body. Paul uses this terminology as you see him wrapping up everything In Christ, which lays out God’s redemption plan and what was completed at Calvary’s Cross.
