Will the Respect for Marriage Act become law? Today on Insight, Josh Rosenstern updates us on the bill now passed by the Senate and on its way to the House for a vote. The heartbeat of this legislation will repeal the Defense of Marriage Act under Bill Clinton in 1996. That bill defined marriage between a man and a woman not a man and a man or a woman and a woman. This will put on the books, on a federal level, the marriage of same sex partners. Brother Josh says this action by our United States government leaders shows just how far our nation has moved in a quarter of a century. Since 1996, many in Congress have greatly changed their views and have become more accepting of homosexual relations; same sex marriages have been legal in many states for some seven years. Brother Josh says what matters is what God created marriage to be. God must have the final word, which He gives us in the Bible.
