Racism and discrimination is not the root of our problem, it’s a symptom. Today on Insight, Josh Rosenstern discusses the problems of criminal and social justice. He points out that the root of the problem is sin in the heart of a person. He says there is internalized racism, that’s in the heart. If the person acts on it, then it becomes an interpersonal racism; and then the next level is institutionalized racism and then systemic racism. These are talking points, that decisions are going to be made on, so it’s important that people understand them. Brother Josh says we need to know the root of the problem and the levels of racism that exist. The world is trying to address racism from the top levels first, in an effort to solve or find an answer to the problem. Brother Josh says no, we must reverse this order and start with the heart; this is where hatred and racism begin. The problem is sin, and the answer is Jesus Christ.
