Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss our government’s Affordable Connectivity Program, which is geared toward improving Internet connectivity to all people especially those in rural areas. Brother Josh says the 14-billion dollar program is now redirecting its focus, and the question is, how will it be paid for? The government is working with several providers to bring a reduced cost for those who qualify. The 14-billion earmarked, of tax payer money, will pay half the Internet bill for those who qualify; approximately, 48-million households will be eligible to receive this high speed Internet service for about $30 a month. In this redistribution of poverty and dependence, basically a family of four, bringing in $55,000 a year or less, would qualify. Brother Josh says don’t be deceived, these redistribution programs will only hurt the poor, middle class, and small businesses through inflation and taxation and create a poverty class that is more dependent on the government than every before.
