Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss the proposed ceasefire in the war in Gaza that would time with Ramadan. Ramadan is a month long time of recognition of the revelation to Muhammad when he received the teaching of the Quran. During this time, those of the Muslim faith will fast and cease in warfare. Brother John says they are trying to equate a religious piety to the Hamas, who first attacked the Jews during a festival on October 7th. Looking at a recent survey of the Heritage Foundation, which ranks countries by economic freedom, the United States is ranking 25th, with Singapore ranking number one, Switzerland coming in second, followed by Ireland and Taiwan. Low economic freedom contributes to countries ranking low; some blame the poor US score on President Biden’s policies that bind economic freedom with the intrusiveness of big government.
