Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss the outcome of the 2024 Presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump looking at how leaders of other nations of the world are weighing in on the US Presidency. Brother Josh says he was embarrassed for our country, and President Biden, as he was over rehearsed and it tripped him up. Brother John rated Biden an F, and Trump a C- on debating the actual issues. It was a he said, he said show. Many of the issues at hand are truly out of the President’s hands, like removing the federal protection for abortion back to the states. Brother Josh points out, the Senate has to confirm everything the President does; this is not a monarchy, we have a checks and balance system with the two other branches of our government. While the President nominates our Supreme Court Justices, the Senate must approve them. The President has much power when it comes to the military and foreign policy. Brother John says, unfortunately, Trump was more reactionary than he was informative in addressing the many issues that needed to be discussed.
