Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss a recent Barna Study on sin. The survey was looking to see, how many people believe in sin, and how many identify as sinners. Brother John says we know that many preachers today have softened their preaching on sin and address sin as a “problem”. With growing psychological terminology, and new age teachings in the church, many churches have embraced a seeker sensitive approach to see more church growth. The Bible says, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The numbers indicate that most Americans, and many Christians surveyed reject the biblical definition of sin, and many believe that just being generally “good” earns salvation rather than it being a gift.
