Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss the potential threat before our US Congress to shutdown the Federal Government, affecting non-essential government workers who will be furloughed. This means Federal museums, parks, and other such Federal establishments will be closed including some TSA and some air traffic control employees, where they are “essential” up to a certain point. House Republicans passed a clean continuing resolution, and Democrats also pushed it through. This spending based on last year’s budget, would be a stop-gap measure. It, now in the Senate, needs sixty votes to pass, and the Republicans do not have a majority.
