Today on Insight, Josh and John Rosenstern share how the longest government shutdown in history is officially over. The government will remain open until the end of January. SNAP benefits, through the food stamps program, will be going out swiftly. It has been determined that if, and when, there are future shutdowns, SNAP recipients will not be affected. Brother Josh asks the question, are those current recipients looking to be off benefits one day, or do they plan to be recipients of government assistance forever? Brother John says we need to educate people and incentivize them to be self-sufficient. One problem, as the workforce shrinks, due to computers filling human positions, we will see a drastic decrease in our workforce. What kind of jobs will be available in the future?
