Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss the Minneapolis City Council’s proposal to disband the police there. Nine council members voted in favor of the idea. The thought is to reduce funding to the police departments and redistribute more money into black communities. The Rosenstern’s agree this is not the answer, and even the Minneapolis Mayer is not for it. The Mayor has asked for 55 million in aid to restore the damage done from rioting and looting. In response to the death of George Floyd, peaceful protesting is expected; but Brother Josh says, just because there are a few bad cops you don’t eliminate the entire police force. Brother John offers recent crime statistics that do not support the numbers being pushed, with regards to race, in today’s media.
