Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss some latest statistics with regards to inflation and how Americans are dealing with the current economy as we head into the holidays. Brother Josh says numbers show the average American family is dipping into their savings to get through the remainder of 2022. Looking at food costs alone, as we prepare for Thanksgiving, the Labor Department says poultry prices and pre-made bake goods are up by some 15-percent, year over year. This means debt will increase as more people will buy on credit with increasing interest rates. Brother Josh says, while mortgage rates have come down some, he anticipates they will be going back up.
