Today on Insight, Josh Rosenstern discusses how Congress has yet to address the very volatile subsidy extension program, known as the Affordable Care Act. The National Defense Authorization Act for 2026 is earmarked to be the largest ever, as it always tops our US spending every year. This year, the top line price tag is sitting at 900.6 billion dollars and growing. One headline, of discussion is a potential repeal of the sanctions on the country of Syria. Syria has had a major disruption in the last couple of years, involving the al-Assad regime. Some say, the al-Assad leadership will open the door to more radicalization, and the US sanctions help to safeguard other countries who might otherwise make future friendships with Syria.
