WHY SEEK YE THE LIVING AMONG THE DEAD- Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Donnie Swaggart preaches from Luke 24:1-6. The Resurrection separates Christianity from all other religions because our Savior lives; death could not hold Jesus Christ in the grave. There is no power greater than Resurrection power. Because of our risen Lord, our rapture is a guarantee. His Resurrection is the first fruit of the Resurrection yet to come. God became flesh; He stepped out of eternity to step into time. He laid aside the expression of His deity, but not the possession of it. He died at Calvary so the children of men could become the sons and daughters of God. The Cross is the foundation by which all biblical doctrine flows. The grip of sin was broken on Calvary’s Cross; it was a guarantee He would come out of the tomb. Brother Donnie likens the tomb to the many religious, dead churches where no life and power of God exists. A church without resurrection power is a graveyard. The moving of the Holy Spirit is a stamp of approval that God is pleased with what is being taught and preached. The same power that brought Christ out of the tomb is the power we need in our churches today.
