ABOUNDING THERE IN, INCREASE AND EXCEL IN CHRIST- The Bible, from the beginning to the end, is the Redemption plan of God. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor David Borg reads from James 1:17-25, looking at the ever good and perfect gift of God. The Bible says we must receive with meekness the engrafted Word. Brother Borg says it takes humility to receive what God has for us. Pride hinders many Christians from growing in the grace and the knowledge of God. If we do not understand God’s Word in the light of the Cross, we will not come to Him like He desires. He wants to live inside us. Christ in us, the hope of glory, sets Christianity apart from all religions. James says do the Word, which means obey the Covenant. Jesus said, if you love me, you will keep my commandments, meaning His Covenant. Demons tremble when the Word of God, Jesus Christ, is made manifest in our mortal flesh. Jesus is calling us to repent and submit ourselves to His work on the Cross, and then we can walk in His glory and feel His presence every day.
