GOD’S ANSWER FOR ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, AND BROKENNESS- Tonight at Family Worship Center Pastor Jonathan Steele preaches from Matthew 12:20-21 explaining how depression and anxiety is a spiritual problem for many people, for others, it may be a physical one; but either way, the Bible has our answer. God addresses fear and worry often in scripture; Proverbs 12:25 is a biblical definition of anxiety, heaviness, in the Hebrew, is anxiety. Depression is anxiety and fear, but God says be anxious for nothing, do not fear. As believers, we know who holds tomorrow. What we’re going through matters to Him. A bruised reed He will not break; a large multitude followed Jesus, and He healed all that followed, even raising many from the dead. Jesus isn’t here to make things worse for us; when we feel our light has gone out, Jesus comes to light our flame again. God is here to rekindle our fire, for there is only loneliness and despair in a life without Christ. He is our only hope.
