HOLINESS, BOLDNESS, AND THE UNSTOPPABLE GOSPEL- God is calling all believers to a holy boldness. Tonight, at Family Worship Center, Pastor Dave Watts reads Acts 5:1-11 teaching on the power of the Holy Spirit as he walks us through the story of Ananias and Sapphira. This early church couple tested the power of the Holy Spirit and lost their lives for their dishonesty and hypocrisy. The couple envied the respect that Barnabas received for his generosity, but unfortunately, they had the appearance of devotion without the reality of surrender. God takes holiness seriously. God cares about our hearts more than our show. Hidden sin will weaken our witness. God is calling His children to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Here we will find obedience, and boldness will follow. Despite the persecution that comes, God, in His sovereignty, will give us rejoicing in our suffering as we take His powerful gospel to the lost.
