THE BELIEVER THAT A WORLDLY PHILOSOPHY CANNOT UPROOT- Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Paris Ragan preaches from Colossians 2:6-9, warning the believer how the philosophies of men can choke out faith in Christ. Brother Paris says social media is the number one platform for these false ideas of men infiltrating our minds; but we can be sure these lies surround us. Believers are bombarded with image issues leading to questions about sexuality, pushing young people to seek out group mindedness for safety in numbers. Social issues and coping with emotions draws the new believer to seek out a church based on their struggles at hand wanting a dissection of the bible to justify their personal need. Brother Paris says we must remember that Jesus Christ delivers us from these philosophies of men and when we receive His grace and freedom in Christ with humility, the Lord will lead us out of Satan’s darkness and into His wonderful light. In Christ is where we then are rooted and can grow in Him with thanksgiving and joy that isn’t based on our circumstances.
