THE THREE BAPTISMS IN THE NEW TESTAMENT- Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Donnie Swaggart preaches from Romans 6:3 and Matthew 3:11-12. Brother Donnie teaches on the believer’s baptism into Christ, our baptism in water, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Water baptism is not a sacrament, but rather an ordinance; it symbolizes what has already happened in our hearts when we say yes to Christ. There is no saving component in water. It is a ceremonial baptism of our “mechanical” baptism into Christ at salvation. When the believer receives the baptism with the Holy Spirit this is God’s power living inside us to be able to do the will of God and minister the gospel to others. Brother Donnie says grace is God’s goodness given at salvation, and then all other goodness and gifts of God will flow in the believer’s life.
