He reminds us of the spiritual war we are in, as every believer will be called to take a stand for the Lord. With faith anchored in the finish work of Christ, we have already won. There is no power of darkness greater than the power of our God. His grace and mercy is so wonderful that while we deserve judgment for our sin He has stepped in as the only sacrifice that could pay our debt as fallen humanity. Our help comes from above; in Christ, we are overcomers.
