THE IMPACT OF GOOD WORKS ON CHRISTIAN LIVING- Unbelievers should see that we are different. Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart reads Matthew 5:16 as he explains how what we believe, as Christians, will show forth in our lives. In this verse, Jesus is clear, our faith will shape our actions, and we are called to be salt and light to those around us. What we profess as believers should be what we practice. When we do not have our faith anchored in the finished work of Christ on the Cross, there will be a disconnect between our profession of faith and our Christian walk. The Holy Spirit will only work on our behalf, and produce fruit in our lives when our faith is right. Pastor Gabe warns us that no amount of works will save or sanctify us; therefore, we are not trying to earn something with God for being “good”. The Holy Spirit alone transforms us so others will see the gospel in us. We are ambassadors for Christ, and He alone gets the glory.
